It's Singing and Dancing!!!
Superstar Academy's fabulous Summer Camp program continues with this fabulous musical theatre camp presented by the talented Jason Aycock. In this fast paced week of singing and dancing, campers will take songs from musicals, movies, and even their own favorite tunes and blend them with fun choreography and imaginative staging. We'll strive to not only be active and have fun but learn the basics of stage blocking and movement. But who cares about that? IT'S SINGING AND DANCING!!!
Instructor Jason Aycock is a native of the southeast growing up just down the road in Burgaw. He has trained in singing and dancing since he was very young at his mother's dance studio, Cripple Creek Corner. After receiving his BFA in Musical Theatre from Mars Hill College, Jason returned to the area and has been very active in the theatre community in and around Wilmington. Performing with many groups like Opera House Theatre Company, CityStage, and Big Dawg, he has been a part of almost 80 productions in town since 2005. Having just finished working as the Artistic Director for Thalian Association Children's Theatre, Jason is glad to be helping present a camp for the Super Star Academy at TheatreNOW.
