#Alice : You'll get sucked in!
Superstar Academy's first original play is coming October 2 to the TheatreNOW stage. #Alice (that's hashtag Alice, for you older kids out there) is the tale of a young girl who becomes obsessed with her smartphone and has to interact with various apps in order to find her way to the OS and get back home.
Inspired by the classics, Wizard of Oz and Through the Looking Glass, this adventure is sure to please young and old alike and give a little insight into unplugging from our devices and plugging back into life.
Zach Hanner, the playwright of #Alice will direct. He plans to tailor the play according his young cast, incorporating their own ideas that arise in rehearsals. Casting is September 2 from 6-9pm at TheatreNOW at 19 S. 10th Street, downtown Wilmington. Actors between the ages of 8-18 are invited. No need to prepare in advance as they will be asked to read from the script.
Rehearsals will be Monday through Thursday from 5-7pm during the month of September, but not every cast member will need to be present at each rehearsal.
There will be seven performances from Thursday, October 2 through October 5 at TheatreNOW. Tickets can be purchased at the TheatreNOW box office. Be sure to mark it on your calendar and check our facebook page for more exciting news!
